The Abashiri Family (1991)
I wasn’t lying when I said I’d be spending this Halloween month diving headfirst into Go Nagai’s work to flesh out my thoughts about his legacy. Thousands of pages of manga and hundreds of minutes of anime later and… I’m still processing.
I’d love to be a less sporadic blogger, putting pen to paper each day and becoming better at writing in the process. And maybe I’ll find a way to do that, a way to more casually spout off that doesn’t feel embarrassingly self-indulgent. If you have any recommended strategies please let me know! I want to have fun, but I don’t want to turn this blog into a blow-by-blow account of my Stockholm syndrome to poor taste.
For now, I’m thinking. It’s been a helluva month and we still have a ways to go. See, I’m just getting around to Devilman Lady. I’m going to try reading it. Without quitting. For probably the third time. Oh boy…
